Failed to locate supported file type... error upon plug-in.

I posted this near the end of some helpful threads, then realized I may have a separate issue than what initiated those (and did not mean to junk up thread).

Upon plug-in of my iPod, I receive the following message nearly immediately from the Memory Card Manager:

"Failure to locate supported file type or there are no photos found on this device."

Following that, I am unable to see or read the iPod in any fashion (windows or iTunes). I've tried the R's with no luck. Based on some of the other threads, I think it may be USB related, but I have not been able to remedy. Anyone else?

I found something about the memory card manager to disable the automatic search for photo cards.

1) open the memory card manager program which is listed as a program under the printer name(start, programs, printer,...)
2) The default option appears to be load the program at startup. Unclick this option so the program won't load at startup.
3) Reboot your computer to make this take effect.

This is a problem I've seen with a Dell All-In-One printer confusing the iPod for a photo card. Hope this helps!
