Q: Why will Garage Band not accept my Apple Password?

When trying to download new sounds to my Garage Band library my Apple password is not accepted. Why is this, and how many attempts do I get before I am locked out?

iPad 2, iOS 7

I assume you refer to the password for your Apple ID. Does that password work in other Apple apps, i.e. iTunes, iCloud, etc?

Do you have multiple Apple IDs, maybe you purchased GarageBand with a different Apple ID.

You can check your purchase history using the iTunes app. Under the Store menu, go to View Account. There is a section "Purchase History"

    Hope that helps

    Thanks Edgar,

Problem solved. The Password that Garage Band needed was simply the one for my Mac only.
