Does Rockfish and Toyota say they are compatible with your model iPod and its iOS?

You can ry:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset the car system and the Rockfish device

.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

I have tried various resets as you suggested.

As an experiment, I also looked to see if this new iPod Touch would connect to my new MacBook Air.

While it goes through the process of recognition ( and provides a code number to verify) it does not PAIR.

Is it possible that this new iPod Touch could have a defective BLUETOOTH?

As I mentioned in my first query, with the Rockfish Bluetooth Music Receiver, the iPod sometimes sees it and then,

again, refuses to PAIR.

I have owned Apple's since the Apple Iic, and bought the first iPhone and first iWatch so I am somewhat familiar with

Apple products. This Bluetooth failure is frustrating.
