May 13, 2016 1:27 PM in response to NVappleGirlby theratter,It may simply be the icon to select when changing to another user profile. Open Uers & Groups. Click on the lock icon and enter your admin password. Click on the Login Options button. The fourth checkbox is labeled, "Show Fast User switching ...." If it is checked, then uncheck it. This will make the icon disappear in your menubar.
If this is not the issue, then you have installed something that causes the icon to appear in your menubar.

May 13, 2016 2:41 PM in response to NVappleGirlby Csound1,MacKeeper does not install itself, you or some other user installed it (possibly by mistake) now you or some other user will need to remove it.
Trashing it will cause more problems, look up the removal method on the website.
