Will my Apple Music Library be transferred together with my iTunes region?

I'd like to know if my Apple Music Library (iCloud Music Library) will be transferred to my new iTunes region (so I won't lose my music). I've even contacted Apple about this but they couldn't give me an answer (how disappointing).

I was wondering if someone has experience with this.

Sorry, what do you mean by new iTunes "region"? If you mean change Country/Region, then this support article lays it out:

Change your iTunes Store country or region - Apple Support

The only media that you can be sure will be accessible when you change your Country/Region on your Apple account is media that is downloaded to iTunes on your computer.

I can read and google too, I've read that article many times. I asked if someone had experience with this, you don't have experience with this. Apple Support says something else than their webpage (I called with Apple Support two times, they gave me the same answer: your playlists will be saved).

Please reply if you have experience with this, I don't need links to articles 🙂.

I explicitly said that you should only reply if you have experience with this very thing, which is changing your iTunes country/region with your iCloud Music Library turned on.

I also said that I called with Apple Support two times, they gave me the same answer two times: your playlists will be saved. The thing you just quoted says the opposite.

Thanks for your help gail from maine, but you are just quoting the support pages.

Well, since neither Apple's answer nor my answer is satisfactory to you, why don't you just try it? Change your billing address to another country, change your Payment Option to None, and then change your country. See if you can still access your Apple Music. Then you will know....

But I can't see what could possibly be ambiguous about the bullet item I cited. Things that you added from a previous country's store will not be visible.

The general advice we provide to anyone asking about accessing media purchased in another country is to make sure that they have downloaded that media to their iTunes Library. That is the only way to ensure that you will have access to any media associated with a different country's iTunes Store. And that is only for items you purchased. Streamed Music isn't even available if you aren't on Wifi, so if you change your store, then I have no clue why you would think that the bullet from that article would not be correct. It's common sense.

Good luck. I'm out.

That seems like pretty sensible advice to me, Gail.

Then I will know it, yes, but there's a big chance my music will be gone. I'm not doing it.
