Q: audiobook play count
It seems that iOS iBooks cannot accurately sync play counts. For whatever reason, if you stop an audiobook and then re-start it, iOS decides that this counts as 2 plays. If you do this more than once (like everyone on the planet will), you will have mulitple play counts. Did Apple actually quality test iBooks latest software? I get the mindset that collecting your audiobooks and epubs in the same app, but it would appear that Apple just crammed the audiobook code into iBooks without actually seeing how that would effect play back and syncing.
If you use a smart playlist to manage your audiobooks (eg: sync only audiobooks with playcount less than 1) syncing to iTunes will destroy the usability of that play list. I have had to resort to a script to adjust play counts in iTunes to fix all the erroneous counts iOS has introduced, and have to re-sync with iTunes.
Is anyone else having this problem? Are there fixes or suggestions on how to deal with it?
