My iphone is dead and hasn't charged in 2 weeks, is there any way of checking the text messages i might have received without having to turn on my phone?
Can i check them online? or through someone else's iphone, ipad, or mac?

no
Put the SIM card in another phone and any text messages waiting to received to your phone number should be delivered.

Do you have any support links for that answer?
I've never heard of that since there are no data stored on sim cards....
I wasn't aware that I said that anything was stored on the SIM card.
If a phone is turned off and someone sends a text message to it, it is delivered to the phone once it phone is turned on.
The OP has had the phone turned off for two weeks. If the SIM is re-established to the phone network, any outstanding text messages will be delivered, which is what the question asked.
The only way that that action could happen is either turn on the current phone, which sounds like it my not be possible, or move the SIM to another phone.
Which means the OP would also have to sign into the Messages app on the device that is being used. Not recommended....

Why?
The OP has asked to receive TEXT messages. The SIM doesn't even need to be put into another iPhone to do that task.
If it was into an iPhone, then iMessage in Settings > Messages can be not selected and Text messages are still received. No need to sign into anything.
I didn't say anything about iMessages, I said that the Messages app would have to be signed into. And you have just contradicted yourself. First you told the OP to insert the SIM, now you are saying you don't even need a SIM....
It is never a good idea for someone to "temporarily" sign their own Apple ID into someone else's device. Period.

Hi gail, sorry but your misinterpreting my words and I see no where where I have contradicted myself.
Please re-read my posts, nowhere in it have I stated that a SIM is not required to receive a text message or that they need to use their AppleID to sign into Messages to do so.
I have offered my advice to 'dnyrkyhr' of ways to get text messages, If he/she would like further input from me, I will be more than happy to supply.

And the Messages App on the device is the only way to receive any sort of message - iMessage, SMS, or MMS message. So the OP would have to sign into the Messages app....
I think you may be misunderstanding how text messaging works on an iPhone.

Exactly, The OP can stick the SIM an any phone, it doesn't have to be an iPhone.
The only place to sign into the Messages app is to sign into iMessages, which hasn't been requested. Text messages (SMS and MMS) are recieved with no sign in required.
I'm done here. Sorry 'dnyrkyhrr', this thread was degraded to becoming non helpful.
