Can I sell my MacBook Pro back to apple for parts if it doesn't turn on? It's completely dead. Tried all troubleshooting. way out of warranty, and really dont want to spend the loads of money it will probably cost to repair

Let the Genius Bar tell you how expensive first. Could be $100, could be $1000. The repair cost may be acceptable.

I just went on the site a couple of hours ago. They will not buy parts. They will give you a discount card depending on the model and condition of your computer. I think that it has to be no older than 2007. You will have to provide the OS system version and speed. I have a Mac Pro 200, Yosemite 10.10.5, 2.3GHz in perfect shape and I was only proposed a $200 voucher.
