Has anyone had issues where your footswitch data is being received by mainstage, but it doesn't execute the desired action? I have a boss dual foot switch that I'd like to use to change patches. The action is assigned (in concert mode) and being registered. The controller is sending CC #66. MIDI data is being received, but still nothing's happening. Any other factors I should be considering?

In edit mode, at concert level, select the pedal icon in the workspace. Select the mappings tab in the screen control inspector. Double-click on the line showing mapping status. Select actions>next patch. You can set another pedal to previous patch using the same steps.
Thanks for the reply. But that's what's so vexing. i've done this step and repeated and still no action. The pedal icon moves and lights up when pressed. and the mappings indicate that everything's routed correctly but still no action.
Go to layout mode, select the pedal, and make sure you have it assigned to the proper keyboard in the screen control inspector. In the type menu, select press/release. Otherwise, the patches will advance multiple times for each press.
Hmm. here's something. when i assign the pedal it defaults to 'absolute' rather than 'press/release'. would that have an impact in anyway?. Still sending CC #66.
