Windows 10 iTunes library on NAS migrate to iMac

Good day folks,

My new iMac arrived today and I'm gearing up for the switch from Windows 10 to OSX. My current iTunes library lives on my Synology NAS. It is accessable from my windows 10 PC via \\syn\music\itunes. My question is; can I simple point OSX iTunes at the same fileshare/library, authorize the iMac and go? I intend to use my new iMac as the main PC from which to sync my iPhone and iPads. Will pointing the iMac iTunes at my current NAS library work with all my current iThings? Or will it see my phone/iPads as new devices to be erased and repopulated?

Thank you for your time.

The drive that keeps iTunes needs to be formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journalled).

You'll have to authorize the new system for iTunes.

Also a warning. If you switch to Photos, be aware that it doesn't play well with NAS. iCloud Music Library may also have issues.
