Recording PPT slides with Quick Time in presenter view

Hello,

I'd like to record only the portion of the screen that shows the slides in the presenter view of PowerPoint, using Quick Time. However, because the presenter view opens by default in full screen on my mac, then I don't manage to select only the portion of the screen that represents the slides. Is there a way to do that and, if yes, can you please advise how?
