Q: trouble importing movie into keynote

I've never had trouble importing a Quicktime movie into Keynote until today! I've downloaded a movie from Discovery Streaming and I'm trying to import it into my Keynote for my students on Monday. It won't let me import it. The file was originally mp4, and tried every option in Quicktime's "export" feature, and still the movie will not import.

Help! This is so frustrating as I've been trying to fix it for a couple hours now!

Do video files obtained from a different source play in Keynote?

Is the downloaded file designed to be played in a standalone player?

Many streaming services have copy protection built in to the video to prevent unouthorised playing if not played during a streaming session in a browser.

    Thanks for your reply, Gary!

Your first question made me try another video not downloaded from DS, and it indeed worked in the Keynote.

Even though I tried converting the DS movie to several other types of movies, I had not tried to just change the ending to m4v, which was the ending of the movieI dragged in. When I did that, it finally worked!

Thank you so much, Gary. You saved the day!
