Stolen iphone 6

Couple weeks ago i was sold a stolen iphone and i tried to return it to the owner but i have no idea who that is the icloud account isnt visible and the iphone is on the restart page i paid 550 dollars thats lot of money but id just want to return the device to its owner is there a way you can find out who it belongs to or maybe i can send it to apple and you guys can return it
