A question about job application process

Hey.

I've recently applied for internship position on "jobs.apple.com".

I guess i finished it successfully cause i received email told me to wait till a recruiter returns back to me.

But after about 3 weeks i still don't see anything happening.

A point that attracted my attention is in "Activity" menu, "Submissions" part it shows my submit-time but "Questionnaire" part is empty.

Should i do anything for that?

Also, is there a way i can follow process and being aware of what is happening for my submission now ?

Regrads, Mokhi.

  2. No. My recollection does not include "... recruiter will get back to you soon" - my recollection is [paraphrased] "A recruiter will contact you if you have been selected for an interview"

1. i did not get what was the reason, can you reexplain it, please ?

2. i did not told their exact wording but my interpretation of it ๐Ÿ™‚ the exact one is more similar to what you told it was "A recruiter will review your qualifications and contact you if you're a potential match for the position(s)."

> BTW, internships are only available to College Students - maybe even grad school! You should set up your search filters for "college programs" - like this result AppleCare College Program - Texas State University, San Marcos. Get email notices on the filters you save. If you can't figure out how to do these things, you are not a good candidate for employment at Apple (operating the system is a "first line" test)

I'm student, but i'm out of US (Also i pointed in my CV, that i'm available for relocation during my internship)

  1. If the recruiter that posted the position did not do their duty to take down the position from the list when it was filled, it will remain there indefinitely. If it was posted in 2015, it has CERTAINLY been filled.
  2. See... told ya. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I cannot know, but I would imagine that your being out of country would have killed the deal right there - willingness to relocate notwithstanding. BUT, at bottom, the position is no longer available anyway (see #1)

If I were you, since you are willing to relocate, I would set up filtering for your location country as the second line filter ...

Thanks for your answer and sharing experience.

Your answer made me thinking and rechecking something.

I applied for an internship position, it posting time was 2015, but as it was available i assumed it's empty position.

Also after submitting my CV i received mail that said "Thanks for your interest in Apple [Blah Blah Blah ๐Ÿ˜€] recruiter will get back to you soon" does this implies anything ?

About you experience on retrying for apply, i have a question ๐Ÿ™‚

Did you ever tried to re-apply for single specific position ?

I searched jobs.apple based on my interest (and respecting to that i'm only looking for internship opportunities) but this one was only one matched my criterias (and actually the best one i expected ๐Ÿ˜‰), can/should i re-apply for this ?

Thanks.

  1. You're welcome

  1. OK
  2. You cannot. If you select the same posting it will know that you have applied
  3. No point in trying (see #2)

With all due respect to our good friend Carolyn, my experience* is that you will NOT be contacted unless you make it past the "first cut" of candidates - where you would be contacted for a recruiter FaceTime/Skype interview.

* I have eight submissions with not one response of any kind - I am old, very experienced and ask for salary commensurate with my experience and appropriate for the position

One thing that MAY tell you something = Is the position still posted on the website?

NOTE that it is up to the person "posting" the position to REMOVE the position posting after it is filled, and MANY fail to do that... there are positions from years ago still there.

I think that 6 weeks is a little long to hold out hope.
