Alpha November

Q: when trying to restore my iPod nano 7th generation it asks for a password how do find it/get round it?

MY 7th generation Nano needs its music wiping and starting again.  I have attempted to restore it in tunes many times as it won't let me due to asking for a password to enable this. the password is not my iTunes password. can anybody help? I am using an iMac.

    Once the iPod appears in iTunes, there should not be an issue with a password for an iPod nano 7th gen.  If you see a window pop up asking for a password, I think that is an authorization request from the Mac's OS.  It's not directly related to the iPod or iTunes.  It is asking for your admin user account password (for the Mac), like when you install new software.
