Slideshow problem

I"ve created a slideshow and a few odd things are happening:

#1 - I will have about five consecutive slides display all distorted (like digital frames possibly). This is random too, and not consistent.

#2 - I'm using the Ken Burns affect, and suddenly several slides transition in a very unorthodox manner. It's like they have been joined together and they sort of flow along. It stops after about 15 seconds or so, and all is fine.

#3 - I have shifted formats a few times (Ken Burns to Classic) and when I do this some of the photos get out of order. Is this caused by changing the formats?

Thank You!

1 - Boot into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, and see if the problem occurs there.

2 - if it does as a test launch Photos with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

3 - if the new library does not experience this problem try repairing your original library according to the instructions in this Apple document: Repair Your Library.

Warning: If you use iCloud Photo Library with Photos, this action will cause Photos to upload all your pictures again (from Fix missing or incorrect thumbnails in Photos - Apple Support).
