Delete movies from Hard drive on Macbook Air 2015

Hello!

I have several movies that I have on my iTunes account.

So I didn't think they would be automatically downloaded to my hard drive. I just thought it would be similar to the Iphone you could have access to them via WIFI but not necessarily have them downloaded to your device. I did look up how to delete movies from your mac on other forms. none of them have applied to me.

Go to iTunes right click the movie and delete it. then empty the trash restart the computer. Well clicking delete just hides the movie from your iTunes purchases and doesn't remove them from the drive. I still only have 40GB of storage out of 128GB after "deleting" the movies.

Also they suggested going to the finder and on the left side of the screen would be a movies area. No there isn't. There is nothing for Media either.

I am lost and completely new to the Mac.

HELP....

Were the movies downloaded via iTunes? Did you look in the /Home/Movies/ folder on your computer? You can also look in the /Home/Music/ folder and the other folders within that folder to find the downloaded files.

If you can find the movies listed in iTunes, then select them and CTRL- or RIGHT-click to select Delete from the context menu. You should be asked if you wish to move them to the Trash. Click on that option.

First thank you for your help and second yes they are all ITunes download movies.

I have no idea where the /Home/Movies/Folder is on my computer? So I have not tried that yet. or /Home/Music/Folder don't know where that is either.

Yes I found the movies in the iTunes. I Ctrl right click each movie and select Delete. Then it will open a window that says hide the movie from your purchases nothing about actually deleting the movie.

The path I provided was not /Home/Music/Folder, but /Home/Music/ folder - it's a folder. I suggest that having found the folder containing the movie files that you simply delete them in iTunes, as you have done, then from the Finder select those same files and put them in the Trash, then Empty the Trash. That should take care of them. On my computer: /Home/Music//iTunes/iTunes Media/Movies.
