That means your SIM card is malfunctioning or otherwise expired
Can you make and receive calls and texts?
If yes - pop out the SIM card - wait about 45 seconds and re insert it back
If no - contact your carrier for a new SIM
Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
