Q: Apple Care purchase halted

While trying to add Apple Care for my phone I ran into a road block on https://agreements.apple.com/us/en/sales/purchase?d=0

After adding the Apple Care package to my shopping cart the URL above displayed a blank page in both Safari and Chrome browsers. who should I contact about this?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.1

If you are trying to purchase Apple Care of an iPhone you already have check your eligibility and learn more about the AppleCare Protection Plan or AppleCare+, enter your device serial number.

The serial number can be found in Settings > General > About

Thanks for your response but I had already identified my phone. The link I posted is a prompt that comes after you enter the IMEI or serial number.

What I found out (or my experience) Apple wants hands on at an bricks and mortar Apple Store to approve a Apple Care policy on a iPhone already sold. Even though they appear to offer the option to buy an Apple Care Policy online and via their 800 number, neither of these options are REALLY available. The Apple website goes to a blank screen and never returns and with the 800 number you are put on hold indefinitely. Apple should just one out and say they need to do an on-sight inspection with one of the tools the doctor uses to look in your ears and run a diagnostic to approve an Apple Care Policy.

Dave, the number you were previously given was for education department which is a much smaller queue with fewer people available to assist you. Call 1(800)275-2273 [1800APLCARE]. There is a wait right now as there usually is after a recent iOS update. People get so confused when updates get put out.

In any case, you can select your preference of music (classical, jazz, pop, etc) or silence while you wait. OR you can just schedule a call so they call you later today. I just tested the wait time and it was maybe 5-7 minutes before someone answered.  All they will need to do is collect the IMEI of the device you are wanting to add your AC+ to, prompt a diagnostic test with you over the phone to that phone for confirmation of hardware, and then they can get you all setup within minutes. It's super simple.

The phone number that I referred to sure looked like the correct phone number to me as a direct line for Apple Care. If I gave you the wrong number, I apologize.

In any event, I purchased Apple Care+ over the phone for an iPad 3 some years ago, after I purchased it and brought it home. Apple did not ask to see the device, but that was back in the day. I believe that you should still be able to do it over the phone, so you should try the other phone number as suggested above.

This is still an issue when I tried purchasing AppleCare+ for my iPhone 7 Plus. Tried clearing Safari cache and everything, but to no avail.
