When I dial an 800 phone number I get a sales pitch instead of the secure site I am trying to reach

When I dial an "800" contact for help number on a government secure site or my secure BankAmerica site instead of reaching them I get a sales pitch for a medical alert device. I have dialed the number from my iPhone and from a land line. I've checked the number.

You may have to contact the bank via a local branch, if available, to ask if

there has been a number change for the main branch service you seek...

And tell them the issue is with the both a Landline and also your iPhone.

There may be a security issue with the web server(s) involved, or some

redirect. Be sure to ask a real bank and not some faux scam phishery.

Depending on details so far not disclosed, it could be a scam. Go direct

to the actual principals involved. Contact them direct; look up the actual

agency or business yourself. Could be some bad web sites, too.

This seems like it may be an iPhone question; if remotely related to Apple.

Good luck! 🙂
