Q: how do I save a garageband loop as a stand alone piece on my ipad pro?

Once I have recorded a song, I want to save it as a stand alone music file and keep it on my iPad pro. How do I do that?

If I try to export it to iTunes, it is nowhere to be found in my Music app.

    Howdy Marco_Polo,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

I see you'd like to save a song you've created in GarageBand on your iPad.  I'm not sure what application you're trying to save it to, or if it's a ringtone, so I suggest that you look through the information provided in the link below for your different sharing options.

    Share GarageBand songs

    Have a good one.

You cannot save directly to the Music.app on your iPad.  Saving to iTunes will save the song for downloading to your computer.

You can then add the song to iTunes on the computer and sync it with iTunes to the iPad and the music.app on the iPad.

This detour is a bit cumbersome.
