HELP Outlook ver.15.22 - How to turn off the markup? (blue inverse "P")

Hello all,

Updated to the latest Outlook for Mac version.15.22 last Friday. This morning was using it for a while, everything seems okay, was tweaking some Font settings inside Preferences, then after a while, all the messages in any body text box appears with the markup symbol - the blue inverse "P" commonly found in Word. I cannot find anywhere to turn off the symbols. Everywhere from new email, reply, a calendar event and even inside Signatures.

Had a chat with a Microsoft support and he spent quite some time and still can't solve it and had to escalate to level 2, I won't be call back until tomorrow.

Am wondering if anyone here has chance upon this and may have an answer to this?

And also, the latest Outlook seems to lost its support for the OSX's built in text short cut, e.g. I used to set "gb" as "good bye" now when you type "gb", nothing happens.

Thanks.User uploaded file
