Q: Ringtones revisited.
A couple of months back with some help from these communities, I helped a friend of mine resolve his ringtone problem. Essentially, the ringtone would play from “sounds” settings but not when somebody called him. The issue turned out to be that he was signed out of his account, which we resolved by creating a new account and repurchasing the ringtone (since he couldn't remember his account details).
However, yesterday he told me the same problem had occurred. I checked he was logged into his account properly which he was and looked in his “sounds” settings and could see his ringtone was selected. Sure enough when the ringtone is re-selected it plays from settings, but not when someone calls him.
Anyone, any ideas please.
As an additional issue, he now has the ringtone listed twice in his settings, the assumption being that one is from each of his accounts. How can he delete them, can he see them listed elsewhere on the phone, is there a way of telling which is which (other than that one will work, which it doesn't at the moment of course) and if he deletes them by accident, can they be re-downloaded.
(We did try both ringtones, neither work when someone calls him, both work from settings)
He has an iPhone 6 with 8.4
iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.1
