Also, how do you guys know what to do from the report? I've read through it all but it doesn't make much sense to me. Any tips for how to read the crash reports so I can maybe diagnose myself in the future?

Thanks. I think you maybe on to something with this, I just ran find / -name .ennowelbers.framebuffer

in terminal (maybe that was a bad idea?) to look for the file and it returned a load of permission denied and then kennel panicked again. So do I just find the kext file and delete it by moving it to the trash? Or would it be better to do it in terminal? Do you also know roughly what directory to look in? I have found a few kext files but I have no idea which one relates to this issue. Sorry for being such a noob and thanks again for your help!

Thanks for your reply. I searched in spotlight originally but nothing came up which is why I looked with terminal. I thought perhaps because of the . prefix the file might be hidden form spotlight. Is it worth me downloading that software from the link you supplied and trying to reinstall it? Or will that make no difference?

Thanks for posting the link. I did see that site in relation to previous posts I had viewed, but I have no idea what it is for or how / why it was installed on my system. I looked everywhere for it but could not locate the kext file. I decided to take the somewhat drastic approach and reinstall OS X from scratch as a complete clean install. The difficulty I have, is I have done this before and yet over time the same issue seems to arise. I can only assume that I am installing something that contains that file. So far everything seems to be working okay, but it's early days. I will update this in a week or so, but for now I will mark the original answer as helpful as this definitely seems to have caused the issue. I will also leave as much time as possible between installing new apps to see if I can nail the problem.

Okay, so I have reinstalled OS X from scratch as a complete clean install. (no backup / restore etc) and within about 8 hours into my fresh install my mac kernel panicked again. I have saved the new log. Is this the same issue or another one?

Yeah I thought that maybe the case, problem is I need it for work. I'm hoping it was a one off but we shall see. Could it be an issue with my ram that's causing things to jam up? Virtual Box should run without issues and I'm not doing anything to heavy with it.
