iPhone 5 turned off and won't turn back on

Hi guys, my iPhone 5 turned off and won't turn back on despite my efforts to charge it. It has nothing come up when charging such as the battery showing that it's low or that the phone needs charging.

It doesn't have this show up at all whenever I attempt to turn it on and even while charged nothing shows up.

I fixed this when I contacted Apple support. They told me to hold down the power and home button to force restart it. Works fine now, getting battery replaced however due to it being "consumed".
