My iMac has a long beep at times. Is it starting to go bad? Seems to have a problem restarting also. Works fine once it is restarted.

Well unfortunately you (or another user of your computer) have made quite a mess of the compute. You have CleanMyMac installed which is considered malware and totally unnecessary, in addition an antivirus has been installed which is a complete waste of resources, time and hopefully not any money. OS X need NO, cleaning, antivirus, or any other third party maintenance utilities. OS X is extremely secure and works best if left completely alone.
Locate the developers instructions for uninstalling the apps and then restart the computer and post a new EtreCheck report. If you cannot rid the computer of those apps, you will need to do an erase and install of OS X and then manually install your apps and you restore your data files from your Time Machine backup.
You also need to get rid of the Conduit/CT apps.
Conduit search engine removal:
http://www.thesafemac.com/arg-conduit/
That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
From the Finder Menu bar, select Go ▹ Go to Folder, and in the box that opens write:
~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
Delete the second item if it is there.
Now select Go to Folder again and enter /Library
From the folder that opens, delete the following items if they are there (you may need your login password):
Application Support/Conduit
InputManagers/CTLoader
LaunchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
ScriptingAdditions/ct_scripting.osax
then close the folder. Now select Go to Folder again and write: /Applications/Toolbars
Delete that item and close the Finder windows you opened. Log out then log back in, and you should be rid of it.
Note: Safari does not support any third-party toolbars except those supplied as an extension to Safari via the Extension Gallery.
I would like to do what rkaufmann87 said, but I need help doing it. I can NOT find CleanMyMac on my computer. I have tried the different "FIND" funcitons to NO avail. I also have looked for "antivirus" software and can NOT find that either. Please walk me through it.
Thanks.
When I opened Safari I did NOT get the "non supported tool bar" message, so I must have done something right.
Thanks
