Q: Time Machine error - need help
I have been having trouble getting my Time Machine to backup. It goes through the process of preparing, but then fails.
I have multiple computers that are backed up on this drive (WDMyCloud) and the other machines are still backing up fine. I can log into the backup drive and see the old backups there. The other backups are not currently running when I try to make my MacBook Air complete the backup.
Here is the error message that I see each time:
"Time Machine couldn't complete the backup to WDMyCloud. The backup disk image “/Volumes/TimeMachineBackup-1/(my) MacBook Air.sparsebundle” is already in use. Latest successful backup: 11 April 2016"
My MacBook Air is running 10.9.5 (I am trying to complete a transition of photos to and from an older machine that uses iPhoto and need to complete that before I update the software, so I don't lose all my photo albums).
Can anyone help with this?
Thank you --
