Linking Notes to Reminders

I am using OX X El Capitan Version 10.11.4

I managed to link a Note to a Reminder. The problem is I cannot replicate this!! I thought I went to Notes>File>Share>Reminders and selected Add. My Reminder list was updated with the Notes heading and a small Notes icon appeared to the right of the heading. I was able to click on the Notes icon and Notes opened the linked Note so I could view the original note and all associated media/file attachments.

Now when I follow these steps, the Notes heading and all Note text (excluding any media/file attachments) and eliminating formats such as Checklists are just copied to a reminder.

User uploaded file

I have a Notes panel on the right and a Reminders panel on the left. You'll see that I first shared the Note "xx Testing" to Reminders and got the Notes icon link. When I next shared the Note entry to Reminders, it simply copied all of the Note text.

Help! I want to be able to share a Note link to my Reminders list.

Yay! Thanks to carolineags suggestion, I figured it out! My best solution is slightly different: Starting with the application for which I want to create a Reminder (Notes, Calendar and E.mail tried so far) I highlighting the entire heading (subject line in e.mails), then right click and will get a dropdown with the Share option. From there choose which application you want to share with (I only tried application --> Reminders). I am SUCH a happy camper!!🙂

Played around with this a little. Going from Reminders to Notes only put the Reminders title in the Note. You can highlight Notes first word, last word, or entire title; however, highlighting one word will duplicate that word in your Reminders.
