Q: How do I connect a G5 to a 27" Class Full HD IPS LED Monitor?

I have an old G5 dual core that needs a monitor. Is it possible to connect an LG 27" Class Full HD IPS LED Monitor to this computer? An how would I do that? What kind of adaptors, etc. would that require if it's even possible.

Use a DVI connection. Make sure that your monitor has a DVI option.

Note: you posted in the wrong forum area, there is a seperate forum area for Power Macs. Mac Pros have Intel CPUs, not G5s.

sure-it depends on the video card in the G5, you might need a DVI to HDMI or DVI to Displayport/HDMI cable or adapter. I think the best you could probably get would be 1920x1080. As to how, that's simple. Shut down coomputer, plug one end of cable into video out on video card (found at the back of your tower) and the other end into the video input on the monitor (usually found at the bottom or on the back) then restart both and you should be good to go

    good luck
