Jun 3, 2016 9:22 PM in response to jackfancyby iPhone236545,I Have updated my iPad and restored via iCloud. It is now back to exactly the way I left it. Always a good idea to have some backup of any electronic even if you dislike iCloud iTunes backup is the next best thing.

Jun 3, 2016 9:44 PM in response to iPhone236545by Archi V,I always backup before updating new version of ios because I had this pain before when my iPad 3th generation updated from ios 7 to ios 8 got bricked. I thought it was because my device was kind of old so that happened. But this time i have learned one more thing. A one month new "PRO" device also can be bricked with a lovely pop-up update remind that I totally didn't expect it would happen so i didn't backup and ending up losing all data. Good lesson Apple.

Jun 4, 2016 5:51 AM in response to babowaby jackfancy,I do all my work on my iPads, i had the Pro 9.7 for six weeks but only had the app Graphic saved in iCloud because that one makes me money. I wasn't in a hurry for the other projects.... no iTunes back up cuz my mac is only 128g.

Sorry, what kind of a computer do you have that only has a 128 GB hard drive?

The base MacBook Air comes with a 128GB ssd. Not so uncommon.
