Confusion about users

I'm confused about how users are set up on my machine.

I had to do a find for a folder and it showed up in the library of the deleted user teryt. I thought teryt was an active user because it shows up in my sidebar and in a search:

But teryt also shows up as a deleted user:

So I went into System Preferences to see what that showed, and teryt is not even there:

I'm not sure if this is important or how it happened and not sure what I should do about it, if anything.
