How to get album art on songs?
I just upgraded to the new iTunes 12.4.0 and for some reason I can't get artwork for individual songs. I can get cover art for the entire album but not for individual songs.
I'm using Windows for iTunes.

it looks like the option isn't there anymore, which means adding it manually 😝. I can't say I'm a big fan of that decision.
i ended up deleting the new version and went back with the old version. this should be a good reminder to everyone to NEVER update anything Apple related until all the bugs are fixed. wasted my fcking 3 hrs of my time figure this out.
It got moved... don't know why they decided to do this because it was MUCH easier access to have that option when you right-click. SMH. 🙂
File --> Library --> Get Album Artwork
ETA: don't know if it's a fluke or if I haven't figured it out yet, but doing it per the directions I listed will get album artwork for your entire library... I tried highlighting specific songs but it will still go through my entire library. What's going on, Apple?!?! 😐
Yes, this happens with me too. Why they made this? 😢
SOLVE: If you put your music library into Albums view (to show the view with album artwork "tiles" in a grid), I noticed that you can right-click on an album and Get Album Artwork. I think that applies to all songs on the selected album (or albums). I suppose that makes "some" sense, since missing album artwork is usually for all songs on the album. 😁
Yes, the command to Get Album Artwork for a song (or selection of songs) is no longer anywhere in iTunes (previously done with right-click from a song list). However, I noticed that if I put my Music library (or playlist) into Albums view (to show the view with album artwork "tiles" in a grid), I can right-click on an album and Get Album Artwork. I assume that command applies to all songs on the selected album (or albums). And that actually makes some sense, because missing album artwork is usually for all songs on a particular album.
After all, the command is (and has always been) Get Album Artwork, NOT Get Song Artwork. 🙂
Glad you saw my post in the other thread... 🙂
That's the issue. When the user select song on their iPhone the album art don't show up. I want albums cover for all individual songs.
In iTunes, album art applies to individual songs on an album. There is no place where the album art is stored for the album. If album art is not syncing to the iPhone, that's a separate issue. How do you sync songs to the iPhone?
If you do it directly from iTunes library to iPhone (not from iCloud), and a song (without album art) was already on the iPhone (from before you "got" the album art added to the song in your iTunes library), you may need to remove the song from the iPhone and "re-sync" it. Just adding album art does not make the song re-sync (if it's already on the iPhone), and the album art is part of each song, not the album.
