Hi, I'm trying to import photos and videos from my iPhone5 to my Macbook Air and the "import" icon isn't appearing in the Photos section when I connect the phone to the laptop. I've imported photos before. Can someone please help. Thanks.

Does the iPhone show in the sidebar?

If not, with with the iPhone connected by USB reboot the iPhone. if it still doesn't show up reboot your Mac and then the iPhone while connected.
