May 25, 2016 8:04 PM in response to mgiles1by braden85,★HelpfulHey there mgiles1,
I understand that you are seeing some issues with your Smart Keyboard and your iPad Pro. I have some suggestions for troubleshooting for you, and they can be found here:
Use your Smart Keyboard with iPad Pro - Apple Support
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205237?cid=acs::applesearch
Additionally, you may also wish to reset your network settings if the steps above do not seem to address the issue properly, or use the reset all settings option:

Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.

May 20, 2016 7:40 PM in response to mgiles1by SkipperTW,I Too am having this issue. It seems to be related to software. It will disconnect (wont let me type anymore after a sleep cycle while in a meeting or something). When I try to go back to it, it drops connection but still looks connected. It still has the short menu at the bottom but won't give me the soft keyboard or except any inputs from the keyboard. This Has made me stop using it in meetings which was really why I got it.
I Have noticed that I have to hard reset the iPad Pro (9.7") to get soft keyboard back. I can also then connect the keyboard but after a sleep cycle or two it does the same thing. Haven't really had any time to truly troubleshoot it but am interested if this gets corrected or is a problem with the hardware/software.

May 25, 2016 8:12 PM in response to mgiles1by topherpaquette,I have not been asked to update the firmware as of yet, but I am having this issue after Auto Lock kicks in at least twice a day. Only way for me to use the keyboard after is to do a reset with the power and home buttons. It's very frustrating.

May 26, 2016 11:13 AM in response to topherpaquetteby SkipperTW,I am curious as to "Firmware update" I assume you are referring to IOS update, but if different, I would love to know more. I am at 9.3.1 on my IOS and that appears to be the current update.
I have given up on using the Keyboard as it's been killing me in my productivity. I would love a solution.

May 29, 2016 10:11 PM in response to braden85by cchia123,i Have similar issue with the Smart Keyboard 9.7, or maybe even worse. It started when my Smart Keyboard suddenly become unresponsive to my iPad Pro. I tried to restore my iPad Pro to factory setting and it only allows me to use my smart keyboard for few minutes before it suddenly become unresponsive again. Rebooting the iPad only helps temporaily as the keyboard become unresponsives again after a few minutes.
I tried to bring it to an apple store to get it check it out, but it isn't helpful. What the apple guy did is just restarting my iPad and try it out on the spot and it works. Only when I bring it back home, it stopped working Again. The constant failing of the Smart Keyboard and the need to reboot my iPad countless time make it frustrating and it is the worse experience I had with an apple product.
to those who is thinking of buying a Smart Keyboard or buying iPad Pro because of the smart keyboard, my advice to you is to DONT BUY IT. Believe me you will regret it.
