Connected my iPad Air to iTunes 12.4 to update to iOS 9.3.2. Downloaded the update, and when I looked up iTunes said it is "Waiting for iPad" and the iPad has the progress bar completely empty, and it is not moving at all. It's been nearly half an hour. Advice on what I should do from here? Thanks in advance.
OK, got it updated. Did a force restart and was able to update it then. One irritating thing, though, and this happens 8 times out of 10 when I update my household's 2 iPads and 2 iPhones, after the update, iTunes tells me something about how it could not recognize or connect to the device, and it doesn't show up in iTunes. I just disconnect it, check to see it was updated, and when I plug it into iTunes the next time, it recognizes it just fine.
Eddie, for minor updates like 9.3.2 you could also try updating over the air using Wi-Fi. This is often faster for small updates like this one and may work better for you.
Yeah, I think you're right. That's what I did for the iPad Air 2 and my household's two iPhone 6s, and worked without issue. Thanks.
