How do unsync my iphone and ipad from my macbook pro

not sure what you mean you can restore the phone to factory settings
or you can sync with a new phone, not sure what purpose an unsync would do apart from those two things
I know I am not saying what I am wanting correctly so I am going to try again. I am the tech-idiot!
I have a macbook pro I bought in late 2011 (works awesome). I have an IPad mini purchased in 2014 (works awesome), and I have an IPhone 6 I upgraded from an IPhone 5 back in January 2016.
I sync'ed everything (not knowing what the heck I was doing) and Now I would like to remove the sync's everything from my macbook pro. Anotherwords I don't want any space/storage being taken up by other devises on my macbook pro. I don't want any messages coming from different devises on my macbook pro....The Two or I Should Say Three Shall Not Meet!!!! Then I would like the same for my IPad mini! Remove the sync's everything from IPad mini.
So I do not want to go back to "factory settings" just want to remove sync's.
I hope that makes sense & hope I am saying everything correctly or at least so someone can understand & I do realize I am a tech-idiot (I am a lisenced social worker & my brain thinks in those terms but I am a wanna be tech smart person!)
