pool support for stolen phone

Hi,I am currently traveling in China,but unfortunetly, my iphone was stole last weekend in a shopping mall in Shanghai.the police wants me provide serial number if I can.now the problem comes out,I bought this one via online store nearly 20 months ago.but I dont have the box anymore. then I try to use all the way from the support link on the apple website.e.g.check the online order record,failure,cuz order history is too old,check the backup file in itune,failure,havent backup for half year,the last backup file was lost when my hard disk broke.so the only way i can use is my TAX INVOICE,it is supposed to show serial number on the tax invoice,but there is not.then I try to call 133 622,I think they can find out it with the rest infos on the tax invoice, then, spent long long time on the oversea phone call,Apple staff can only provide the way same as the support link on the website.

now I come here to search help, otherwise I think apple onlin store should give me a solution,cuz it's apple's fault to miss the serial number on my tax invoice.
