Hi everyone,
I have always been using iPhoto but would like to start using the Mac Photos app in stead. But I can't seem to find it on my Macbook pro (OS X Version 10.9.5), neither can I seem to find a link to download it with. Any advice?

You need to upgrade to 10.10.5 for that...
Once you get to 10.10.5 (Need Yosemite)
⌘ + Spacebar = Spotlight

Thank you I tried that but it still is not there, so it must have been removed from my computer. Any way to get it back? A way of downloading it?
Are you saying that you upgraded to Yosemite and Photos was not delivered?
You upgraded to Yosemite already and updated to 10.10.5? I don't see how it could it have been "removed" if it was never there.
