Since iTunes upgraded itself to 12.4, I'm missing a lot of albums in Album View. As far as I can tell, these are all compilation albums. They show up fine in Songs View and in Artists View (where they're grouped as 'Compilations'). I have the overall View setting set to 'Title', so I can't understand why iTunes is failing to recognise them. Thanks for any assistance...

This appears to be a bug in the current build with compilations not listed if using: View > View As > Albums and View > Sort By > Title. Changing the options should reveal the hidden items.

Same problem. Read a post that said to go into "Get Info" and change grayed out "Mixed" in Artist blank to "Various." Albums now appear in Album list but the individual artists don't; all the artists now are listed as "Various." How do I get the artists' names back for each song, Apple?

Thanks, Eugene, or is it Alan? I had thought of that, but was looking for an undo feature for the Album Get Info entries. Brute force it is, and try your original work around. Thanks
At least you have a backup. I have a Windows script for extracting selected metadata from the backup .itl files in the Previous iTunes Libraries folder and then importing it into the current database, but it wouldn't be an easy port to AppleScript. 😮

Thanks for the suggestion, but the only solution I've been able to find is to set 'Album artist' to 'Various artists' and untick the compilation check-box
