Q: How do I connect August Smart Lock to my Apple TV Generation 3?

I purchased an August Smart Lock with HomeKit capabilities.   I have read that the lock can be paired to an Apple TV Generation 3 or 4 so that the lock can be controlled remotely.  However, I cannot find the instructions on how this is done.  My Apple TV 3 cannot find any items when I attempt to connect via blue tooth on the Apple TV.  Any help would be appreciated.

I Just went through this. It's buried in there. realize you're not trying to connect with your lock via Bluetoot, so all you have to do on the Apple TV is make sure Bluetooth is on And not disableD. Then sign into iCloud under the settings app. Now this is weird but then download the remote app from the iTunes Store And make sure your phone and the app has HomeKit enabled. Now go to the remote section on the Apple TV under settings - and enter the remote app part. Here it will ask you to turn on HomeKit and enter your Apple ID. After this is set up, and the remote app recognizes the Apple TV (thus verifying HomeKit is active) you should find that the August lock is now able to communicate with Siri even when Bluetooth and wifi are turned off on your phone.
