Q: Lost previous owner data

Hi, guys.

I was bought an used iPhone 4, and lost previous owner data and he didn't give me iCloud data.

I have box, but doesn't have check. What can I do?
Help me please, it's first Apple product i have..

You have run into the Activation lock
It is an anti theft device

Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support
Turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support

The previous owner needs to do the following

What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If they cannot or will not assist you - then that device is useless to you and you are advised to try and return it for a refund
