What can you do about ghost touch and screen touches not working?

I have this kind of issue too in my iPhone 6, started when I updated my ios to 9.3.2. I've already done every single thing to fix this problem. Also, from time to time after ghost touch it always followed by screen freezing so I have to

turn off the screen and turn it on again. But then after I noticed that everytime I charged my Phone the problem repeated again. Until I observed that my port is a little bit dirty that make unnecessary contact between Positive and negative charge (that I think coming from the battery) that makes ghost touching on screen. I've clean it using a thin Wire to take away dust and dirt then eventually the problem solved. No more ghost touch and screen freezing.

Tthe standard trouble shootings steps are Reset, Restore from backup and Restore as new. Not much more that can be done is software.

Try a simple Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10-20 seconds).

If this doesn't help, you might need to Restore your iPhone.

We had this problem too, we ended up getting the phone replaced. One thing that is a short term fix. place the phone on a flat surface like a desk and press down firmly on the phone. That works but only for a couple of days usually. 🙂

i was having exact from since last 3 days and did everything possible, but to no avail, well i did notice that the ghost touch is more after i complete the charge and its less around 50% battery level. after reading the post about cleaning the lightning port (about 3 hrs ago) with a toothpick the ghost touch issue has not bothered me, lets hope its cured, its so good to use the iphone again normally!! thanks a lot

If you tried "everything" already, it's likely a hardware issue. Take it to an Apple Store, or an authorized service center, to have it tested.

I Think it's the power cord... I don't know why but when I used another power cord, everything went perfectly fine. No more ghost touching.
