My bookmarks disappeared from Safari

My bookmarks disappeared from Safari

Just last night I went through my 36-or so pages I had open in Safari and in an attempt to cut down on pages I started going through the ones I didn't really need up but wanted to save and started making them bookmarks. I later turned my phone off to go to bed so it wouldn't waste battery and later today when I went to go open one of my bookmarks I noticed they were all missing. All it comes up with is Favorites (nothing in there) and History (totally clean).

Where'd they go and how do I get them back?

I've tried restarting my phone & closing and reopening safari but they still aren't back yet. Should I just give in to the fact that they're probably lost and try to find the sites again? I can find all the YouTube ones I saved because I know all of them, but the Tumblr ones, not so much.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.2

Hi ..

Try this ...

Open Safari then tap the two blue squares bottom right side of the screen.

That should re open the last Safari pages you visited.

If that doesn't help, use Spotlight to see if you can find Tumblr.

Use Search on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Settings - iCloud - is Safari toggled to ON?

Settings - iCloud - Backup - toggled to ON?

If so - and if there was a backup created between the time you closed the device and opened it - an iCloud restore would bring those bookmarks back

I do not suppose you got the chance to do an iTunes backup before you went to bed?

However that said - not sure you want to go through the hassle of a restore to get your bookmarks back

Firefox just blocked the iCloud Bookmarks extension (17 May 2016).

I ended up giving up and like within minutes of originally posting this I actually remembered the important tumblr ones. The other tumblr ones were just other pages I'd left up from ones I still had pages for so it wouldn't be too hard to find those again either if I wanted to.
