Show timecode for recordings?

After a long time away I'm looking at Garageband on my iPad to be a possible multitrack editor for creating podcasts. It's a nice interface for recording audio on the fly and arranging it on a clip-by-clip basis.

HOWEVER, since the '11 version I last played with on the Mac, there seems to be no way to convert the display to show time in seconds instead of bars/measures.

Am I missing something obvious, or is seeing the length of a recording an impossible task now?
