Q: how to transfer photo from macbook pro to iPad pro?

I'm really getting a little tired of Apple making my life more difficult instead of easier.

I simply want to take one photo from my Photos app on my MBP and transfer it to my iPad Pro.  I've looked on this forum and cannot find this issue.  Can someone please tell me how to do this?

And if you have a little more time, how do I find the actual files of my photos from the Photos app?  Why does Apple not think I'm adult enough to manage my files on my own and has to hide them from me?

Thank you very much for your time and consideration, I really appreciate it.

iPad Pro, iOS 9.3.2

Open Photos.  Select the photo you wish to transfer.

Click the "Share" button (circled below).  Then use AirDrop to send the photo to your iPad.

Regarding files of your photos, I strongly suggest you not go there!!  There is a Photos library, but that is stored as a (basically proprietary) database tightly integrated to the Photos app.  You do not want to mess with this.  You can export photos from the Photos app and mess with those as you wish.

Email the photo to yourself. Fastest and simplest way.

IMO, Apple designs their apps to be simple and does indeed "hide" most of the underlying technology from its users.

That is not a sign of disrespect, it's an awareness that the vast majority of its users are not interested in how something works, just that it works.

Why do you need to "see" the file? There may be another way we can suggest.
