May 17, 2016 9:08 PM in response to cbd1599by gail from maine,Sorry, but it sounds like you wouldn't even have had time to turn on Find My iPhone, and that is the only thing on an iPhone that can help with a stolen device. If it was activated with a carrier, contact the carrier and have them block the carrier service to the device.
Here is the Apple article regarding what to do if your device is lost or stolen:
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support
I'm really sorry about what happened to you. I wish there was more I could do
Best of luck,
