Using mainstage channel strip to send click track audio file to other playback device.

I need to have each patch, autommagically trigger a recorded playback on another device.

FOr example, I want to create a sound file tthat is 30 seconds long, of an 80 BPM click track.

Mainstsge needs to auto trigger on patch changes, via channel strip.

hhowever, my audio interface is out of outputs, and I don't want to use any of the existing outputs.

I need mainstage to control another device via IAC bus driver/ usb connection.... And that other device can send the audio as an aux input to the stage monitors.

THhis way, the click track only runs for the first 40 seconds then stops. it gets the band going at the correct tempo, then stops as we don't want it clicking the entire song. Please help

thanks

HI Bruno

i am not certain of what device to Use.

I Have limited knowledge, but I assumed an IAC driver to another program would be required.

I do not have another program ... I have to buy whatever I determine will work.

I Only have 1 available USB port left on my Mac.

I Do not have any I/O ports on my audio interface. They are all used up.

I Assumed that mainstage would have to send a control code, out the Mac USB, into another device,

or, can a playback plugin of some type be used in each patch to send an audio playback out of the Mac USB to a stereo 3.5 mm plug???

the idea is to get the output to the mixer, then send to whatever monitor needs the click track.

ALso, I don't want a continuous click track. i only want the click track to play for 30 seconds in order for the band to star a song on tempo. Then the click track can stop.

Hi

i want mainstage to initiate an audible click track. It can be the mainstage metronome, or it can be some kind of external audio file.

MY concern with using the mainstage metronome is that I don't have anymore outputs on my audio interface.

Any audio that mainstage controls, metronome or other, has to be sent out thru my macs USB port.

HHowever, if I can't make it work on my mainstage setup, my keyboardist also runs mainstage. And he may be able to use one f his audio outputs.. However, I will still want the click track to only run for 30 seconds, and stop automatically. I don't want to have to turn it on, then turn it off. Unless I have no other choice.
