bluetooth issues after upgrading to 9.3.2

i have just upgraded to ios 9.3.2 and now bluetooth will not permit pairing to any device that requires the input of the code given that the keypad fails to come up which means you are unable to pair the device. you can pair if the device does not need a code.

i first noticed that transmission and receipt of calls was breaking up after the upgrade on my bluetooth in my car so i decided to clear down and re-pair the phones to the car this failed due to the problem above.

These are some standard steps - they may help - but we are still finding out the nuances of 9.3.2

  1. Make sure each device you are trying to pair is in "discoverable mode"
  2. Control Center - tap bluetooth off and on again - 8-10 times
  3. Force restart the iPhone - After shutting down all open apps using the app switcher - invoked by quick double press of the home button and swiping up on each app till it flies off the screen. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons down together till you see  logo - then release and allow normal boot up
  4. Update to the latest iOS if not done
  5. Settings -General - Reset - Reset Network settings will need to re enter WiFi passwords
  6. If Apple pencil is connected - "Forget it" and try again
  7. Backup the device to iTunes - Restore as NEW (not from backup) - see if problem resolves - if yes - restore backup
  8. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.

I Have an iPhone SE and have upgraded. I now have issues with Bluetooth headsets not connecting where they would previously automatically connect. I have reset network settings, completed a fresh restore etc. I have noticed that if I turn off my paired Apple Watch then the headsets connect immediately - however if I turn on the Apple Watch the headset issues reoccur. So it would seem that Apple have indeed screwed up something with the Bluetooth stack for 9.3.2.

Have you contacted Apple support, i have and they have raised a priority for which they say they will have a response from engineering within 48 hours. although i thought the bluetooth fix in 9.3.2 was to fix the problem with bluetooth on iPhone SE which was reported after 9.3 came out. i think there QA process release more on public beta testing than there own internal process. i have noticed that since public beta testing commenced the number of defects coming to light after the release has dramaticly gone up

My entire BT stack died today. Had to reboot to get it working again. iPhone SE. Got onto support this morning who told me the usual (restore from new etc) but I'm not going to restore from new each time Apple muck up a SW update. Latest I've been told is to unpair and re-pair my Apple Watch and see if that fixes. I doubt it but will do so later on.

I have the same issue.

iPhone SE would connect automatically to bluetooth headsets (Beats, Plantronics) or car handsfree (Renault / TomTom) with 9.3.1.

But I had the audio quality problems.

With 9.3.2 audio quality problems are gone, but it doesn't connect automatically again.

Have to go into bluetooth settings and tap on device to reconnect 😟

Before it was enough to get in reach of the device and it would connect very quickly.

Support wasn't very helpful. Tried resetting network settings - didn't help.

It happens with different devices and only since 9.3.2 therefore it's surely a iOS problem - not a device specific one!
