Q: Finding Subfolders using Finder or Spotlight

Spotlight can't find some folders or subfolders for me. For example, if I have a folder called 'CV' within a folder called 'work', spotlight finds only 'work' and not 'cv'. I am not looking for anything specific within the folder, just the folder. I do understand that the Apple system has a different architecture than windows and I don't really need folders - but I don't get why spotlight can't find the folder when I request it. I have checked all the system preferences and I'm using 'find all files' etc etc. But it is frustrating not figuring this one out!
