Q: Can you switch interfaces without re-loading instruments?

Is there a way to switch audio interfaces without reloading instrument samples?

Any time I switch audio interfaces Mainstage reloads all of my instruments.  Since I have a large concert file this takes about 5 minutes.  Yesterday during a show I had a momentary power outage, which turned off my interface for a split second.   Mainstage threw up a dialog box asking if I want to quit the concert, or use the built in interface.   I selected use built in interface, and then had to wait for all of my samples to load.   Then I had to re-select my Motu Ultralite AVB and had to wait for my samples to load a second time before I was back up and running.   Has anybody else had this issue and found a work around?

I know you have to re-load samples if you change the sample rate, but I've made sure that my sample rate and audio setting for both the built in audio and the interface are the same.  I cant figure out if this is just a quirk of Mainstage, or if I've done something in my session to make this happen.
